Steps to a Smoother Finish

Smooth Finished concrete is what you most likely see in your garage, basement, or pole barn floor.

The usual process for achieving a smooth finish is to place the concrete in a typical manner or screening the surface to level it out. Then, float the surface which is followed by 2-3 passes with a steel trowel to create a smooth finish.

On larger square footage pours a power trowel is used. This is a motorized machine that spins on 4 steel blades that lay flat on the surface of the concrete.
